More from the National Trust - Forty allotments will be cultivated in a field currently used for livestock adjacent to the visitor car park and Manor House.
Thirty five of these will be allocated to local people and managed via an allotment association with the Parish Council as tenant. The remainder will be managed by the Trust and be used by a wide range of community groups and schools from the area. More info in full post.
The new television series of River Cottage is scheduled to start on Thursday 12 November on Channel 4. Watch out for a new Landshare story as Hugh meets some people who have found an extra benefit to landsharing.
