    The Woodland Trust is offering land you can plant trees on, including fruit trees. More land will be soon be added to Landshare, some of which will also be suitable for growing veg and even keeping livestock.

  9. Listing Coming Soon - Lytes Cary Manor

    More from the National Trust - Forty allotments will be cultivated in a field currently used for livestock adjacent to the visitor car park and Manor House.

    Thirty five of these will be allocated to local people and managed via an allotment association with the Parish Council as tenant. The remainder will be managed by the Trust and be used by a wide range of community groups and schools from the area.

    For those who haven't already heard, the Garden Museum in London is holding an exhibition, "The Good Life - 100 Years of Growing Your Own"

    The exhibition is open from 6th October 2009 - 7th March 2010.
