More from the National Trust - Forty allotments will be cultivated in a field currently used for livestock adjacent to the visitor car park and Manor House.
Thirty five of these will be allocated to local people and managed via an allotment association with the Parish Council as tenant. The remainder will be managed by the Trust and be used by a wide range of community groups and schools from the area.
More info in full post.
The gardening team at Lytes Cary will be available to advise all users and will offer as much support as required to these groups. An old Dovecot will be refurbished to provide secure storage and refreshment making facilities and the visitor toilets for the site (fully DDA compliant) will be available for all users. A programme of seasonal food events will encourage and allow all visitors to the site to get involved.
The team have started a monthly newsletter. Click here to read the first one:

Hello,
This sounds very exciting indeed.
How many projects are you going to role out and is the trust going to make sure that the sites will be, for want of a better phrase, geographically balanced out across the country.
