  1. Well 'beccaf' you are right what a load of piffle.

What is it with these councils and so called ruling bodies that come up with such a load of claptrap.

There are thousands of flowers and seed heads within a few square miles a few more or even better double it would make life so much beter and help the honey BECAUSE without it we are NOTHING
    Just think on this

  2. The digging's already started at Cuckoo Farm! Just 24 hours after posting 'land available' a happy couple had signed up and are busy planting as I write. Two other couples have started clearing land and two more have signed up.

Wow! just shows the demand, and this is a VERY rural area. happy planting folks!

  3. I think the comments at the end of that article are a bit ridiuclous. If you are a hayfever sufferer, pretty much wherever you go in the countryside during the summer months, you can be sure you will come home sneezing and sniffing. Especially because of all the grass pollen and rapeseed plants. So to say that LA's cannot just plants flowers anywhere because of hayfever sufferes is nonsense. I am a hayfever and asthma sufferer myself and if rapeseed plants can be planted close to residential areas (which is notoirous for causing hayfever and can make some people very ill) then I don't see why municipal ground can't be planted with some bee friendly plants. Some Lavendar here and there is not exactly going to cause major problems as far as I can see. Seems to be a very conveinet excuse for the LA's. Sorry rant over!
