Everton FC is to make land available within its football grounds for Landsharers to get growing. You will soon be able to apply here for your chance to be involved.

Co-ordinated by its charity, the Everton Foundation, the Club will see raised growing beds built, as part of its ‘Live Food Love Food’ campaign, which aims to inspire and reawaken all generations to the benefits of growing, eating and cooking in a bid to create ‘real’ health and behaviour changes.

The Foundation will initially give the opportunity to a small handful of growers and helpers to get involved, but hopes to expand the project in the future.

This pledge will be co-ordinated by Dan Parnell and supported by the School of Sport and Exercise Science, Liverpool John Moores University as well as senior academics.

Dan Parnell said: “Landshare is a fantastic initiative which really ties into our own aims of supporting the local community and helping people engage in all aspects of nutrition. It’s something that Everton is proud to get involved in.”

  3. Why use Goodison when there a big empty plot of unused land on Stanley Park.....I reckon allotments will be the only development that'll happen there for a while!

  4. Wouldn't it be best to wait 'till the club actually gets to Kirkby before turning Goodison into allotments?
