I work with a small group of problematic young people (11-14yrs) in a unit ( with high staff to pupil ratio) and we as a group would like the opportunity to access some land locally for all kinds of activities including growing our own food. Any One out there that can offer us some land please ?
I must confess to having some really elaborate plans but I really need some help/a break and in the long term this project could be of real value to a number of schools and organisations, and benefit numerous young people!
Got your curiousity ? Then contact me and lets talk !

Green fingers & blossoming interest in growing veg

Posted by Jax on 05 November 09

I live locally & have limited space to grow veg & bee friendly plants. I have managed a fair amount in pots earlier this year, but would love to quench my new passion. My favorite book at the moment is a gardening encyclopedia, bit geeky I know, but I am fascinated my everything I am learning. Please get in touch if you have unwanted space or no time to make use of it. the next growing season starts in march, i'll be growing seedlings on my windowsill in the hope I can find somewhere to plant them!

Grower seeks land in SW London

    Posted by tom_o_m on 05 November 09

Hi, I have just moved to a new flat and now have no room for growing.

Previously I grew veg mainly tomatoes, peppers and carrots, plus herbs & strawberries on a bit of flat roof. Like everyone else I'm on the allotment list, I don't hold much hope of actually getting a place. It has been 2 years already.

I'm in Southfields (SW London), and will be keen on any land within a couple of miles. I am very keen and hope to grow a wide range of veg.

    Posted by owners770 on 04 November 09

Although I have enough room for growing veg I would like to keep a couple of pigs ,hens ,ducks and need some land to do this on around the Lydlinch area.
I am also more then happy to combine efforts with other people who want to do this but also maybe do not have the space.Perhaps like a co operative where we can do our own thing with animals and veg!

Experienced gardener still looking for a good sized plot in Worthing

    Posted by DavidM31 on 03 November 09

Experienced gardener looking for a plot of land or part of someones garden to grow fruit and vegetables on, for which I would happily give a share of the produce. Access to water for watering plants is essential, but I have all my own tools and equipment,so if you have a large garden and don't have the time or its become too much for you, then why not let me have some of it in return for some good home grown crops.
