hello all. i am a 19 year old lad based in herefordshire, and i've recently picked up a new hobby,ferreting so i'm offering free rabbit control to people because i enjoy doing it and i know how much damage they can cause to alotments and other plants

I've got some young brassicas-broccoli, curly kale and pointed red cabbage and are being destroyed by caterpillars and butterflies laying eggs and eating them. How can I deter them in an organic way?

I've just recently acquired a plot. Got beans and peas in and a week later all trace of the beans have gone. I think rabbits as do all the local people. What is the best way to get rid / control this problem?

i did grow collies but they stopped growing so i pulled them up and open the stalk up and found it was dead with a maggot sort of thing in it any idea what it is and how to stop it in the future ?

i have some turnips and when i planted them all the leaves had been eaten obviously some kind of fly. they have started to recover but id like to know what im up against for next season.

I have Red spider mites on my front wall of my house , i have been told that i could use Derris an organic pesticide but, i can't seem to find it on sale in west yorkshire ,so if anyone could suggest a website where i might be able to get it from ?

We have a small snail problem. I have made beer traps but i want to ask what is the best beer to use. I currently use tesco value larger, but do they like anything else better?

this is not a question this is a solution. i have found this fly that will kill green/black and the other small flys that harm our plants the good thing is that this fly is native to england so will not harm innocent flies so in my eyes well worth it

Does anybody know any natural ways to get rid of aphids and greenfly?

Our newly planted brasiccas have been got at by pigeons. Any suggestions for keeping them off the survivors. Also will be planting out runner beans and sweet corn this weekend, any suggestion as to protect them against birds and squirrels.

Something is eating my fig tree leaves this year never had any problems before anyone got any ideas, hopefully it will not affect the fruit as i always look forward to a very good crop.

What killed my prunus trees? No other plants affected. Growing asparagus successfully in soil. Went into hibernation: failed to wake up in the spring. quite young the trees and one of them a little ill,but no signs of infestation. Was it a virus?

I have just discovered some small white bugs in the soil of my herbs which are in pots I also realise that the tips of the rosemary are turning brown and some of my parsley is starting to dry what could be causing this please HELP!!!! LOL

Although I hate to call them pests because I love them, we have a slight bee problem.
