Hello We are looking for a crop that coud be sown now. I wondered if there were any suggestions. Thinking of Swiss Chard, Spinach, Turnips however wondered if cabbages and carrots were still possible. Thanks

  • You will probably be ok with Spring Cabbage and Turnips but not Swiss Chard. Depends a bit on your location. You might just get away with early carrots like Amsterdam Forcing but cloches or some protection would help.
Might be worth checking local garden centres to see if they have any veg plants.

I've just sown some more leeks and I'm in Aberdeenshire. I grow Musselburgh.

Think aabout planting Garlic in Mid-October for a crop next summer - dead easy.
