We have been trying to become more self sufficient over the last couple of years but are in desperate need of some land to grow vegetable on and or to keep our bees. We are aiming to be as environmentally friendly as we can so travelling a minimum distance is important. We are on the allotment waiting list but this might take years to happen. We have been learning the skills that most today don’t come into contact with, like beekeeping, cheese making and cold smoking food; we make our own sausages, wine, mead and beer. We have caught over 60lbs of fish this year made roll mop and hot smoked mackerel. So if you have a back garden or piece of land you would be prepared to let us use I am sure we could share some of these skills and produce too.

My family and I are trying to become as self sufficient as possible over the next few years. We are learnig the skills to become self sufficent, we have hatched and raised chickens and turkeys for the table, made cheese, preserves,sausages, wine and caught and smoked fish and much more. As we have a small back garden which is maximised to its full potential we really need space to grow veg and fruit so are looking for someone who can help with land, thanks in anticipation.
