I live in Bradford, West Yorkshire and it is very hard to grow vegetables due to height of the land on which I live. I approached the council about some disused allotments, 2 years ago. They were glad to offer me one as most are unused.
However on inspection I found out they are covered with brambles around 20' high!
It is impossible for one person to make use of these well-fenced and inner-city location until the council offer some help with clearance but none was forth-coming.
Any suggestions welcome.
